Gareth Ainsworth is taking nothing for granted ahead of tonight’s visit to League Two strugglers Yeovil Town.

Yeovil are 23rd in the table and have won just once in their last 12 games heading into the meeting at Huish Park.

Despite this fact Ainsworth wants his players to approach the game positively to avoid a similar result to the defeat the Blues suffered against then bottom of the league Newport County last month.

He said: “They have been struggling this season but there is no way you can take these games lightly. Newport turned us over 2-0 at home and they are down there struggling at the bottom as well.

“There is no chance we will treat it as an easy game. This is a big, big game for us and Yeovil are just as hard to play as AFC Wimbledon, Portsmouth, Leyton Orient or any team in the league.”

Having been relegated from League One last season Yeovil’s struggles have continued this year and they have won just two league games all season.

Town drew 0-0 against Newport on Saturday in a performance that earned them their first clean sheet since the start of October and saw them move to within a point of 22nd placed York.

Wanderers on the other hand will be looking to build on a run of improved form that has seen them go four games in a row in all competitions without losing. It is a run that has kept them just three points outside the play-off places and they were minutes away from moving up to eighth before Wimbledon nabbed a late equaliser on Saturday.

The impending hectic fixture list has meant that Ainsworth is prepared to wait and see how his players reacted to Saturday’s exertions before making a call on his team selection.

He said on Saturday: “I’ll be recovering the players over the next few days and won’t say anything on Tuesday until at least Monday morning. It is a game we want to win.”

Ainsworth will be without the services of Marcus Bean (ankle) and Joe Jacobson (back) while Gozie Ugwu, who top scored for the Glovers last year, joins Stephen McGinn in being a doubt for the game.
