Aylesbury Grammar School extended their impressive start to their defence of the Bucks Squash League with their fifth win in a row against Chesham Bois 1B.

They ran out 17-7 winners and look good value to reclaim the trophy they won last season on current form.

At the other end of the table Beaconsfield Lions could not contain Holmer Green at home and lost 13-7 for their sixth defeat of the season.

In Division Two Chesham Bois Mavericks extended their 100% start to the campaign to seven matches with a 15-8 win over Chesham 1879.

Their record was broken in their second match of the weekend as their senior club mates came out on top in a close match by a score of 14-9.

The chasing pack have games in hand over Mavericks and Beaconsfield Tigers avenged their sister club’s defeat to Wycombe Nomads last week with a 17-8 victory over the same side.

Buckingham climbed to the summit of Division Three with a 15-9 win over Chesham 1879 Seconds.

Their success came as former leaders Holmer Green lost to the ever improving Beaconsfield Trojans who also won 15-9.

Aylesbury Seconds had a good weekend as they cruised to an easy 19-4 win over Bisham.

They have however played more games than the other teams around them in the league Wycombe Squash and Racket Club (WSRC) had a number of junior competitors at the South Regional Closed Championship finals in Aldershot.

Alex Mullis won the under-11s while Alfie Green and Freddie Evans were runners up in the under-13 and under-15 competitions respectively.

The National Schools Championships saw Wycombe High School’s (WHS) under-15s qualify for the second round with a win over last year’s runners up Kenilworth.

Though the school’s top two players both lost their matches Helen Krasner won her match 3-0 – only conceding three points in the process – and Herrity and Abbie Summer both battled to five set wins to give WHS a 3-2 win.
