Young footballers at a school in Hazlemere got a taste of the high life when a former pupil returned to present them new football kits and brought two luxury cars with him.

Dave Redrup, who used to go to Sir William Ramsay, now works at The Beaconsfield Workshop – a Rolls Royce, Lotus, Jaguar and Bentley specialist garage, in London End.

The former pupil of the Rose Avenue school decided to sponsor the football team and even brought along two Rolls Royce cars for them to marvel at.

The cars were provided by a regular customer of the garage, Smart City Prestige.

Mr Redrup said: “I loved my time at the school and have many fond memories of my time here as well many great friends from my school days. When I was approached with a view of sponsoring the school I felt it was the least I could do.”

Dan Thomas, PE teacher at the Rose Avenue School, was delighted with the new kits and thanked the recently opened garage for their generosity.

He said: “It makes such a difference to the students to have such a smart kit to represent the school, you can see them standing taller. We encourage all students to excel in as many aspects of their school lives as possible and I’m really proud of the boys’ attitudes both on and off the field.”
