A Chesham-based window film business took third place in a prestigious industry award at a black-tie ceremony earlier this month.

The Window Film Company, whose headquarters are on Asheridge Road, came third in the best Small to Medium Enterprise of the Year category at the Thames Valley Business Magazine Awards which were held at the Madejski Stadium, Reading, on Thursday November 19.

The Company, which was founded by Micky Calcott in 1998, now has additional premises in London and employs 28 full time staff.

Mr Calcott, who received the award from BBC news anchor Huw Edwards, said: “I’m hugely proud that the company has been recognised with this award.

“There were a large number of entrants, so to have come third in such a competitive category is reason to celebrate.

“We’re proud of our links to the area – we’ve been based in Buckinghamshire since being founded in 1998 - and as well as employing 28 local staff, we’re also involved with a number of charities in the region.

“It’s important that as a relatively successful company we do what we can to provide support where possible so are proud to be involved with organisations such as the Hospice of St Francis, Rennie Grove and the Chilterns Dog Rescue Society.

“2015 has been another exciting year for us, so it’s nice to know that this was recognised by the judges.”
