Pupils at a school in Gerrards Cross have been getting into the festive spirit with a nativity show.
Boys at Thorpe House School, in Oval Way, have been preparing for their big show, a multi-cultural musical nativity called ‘It Takes a Village to Raise a Child.’
Donning their costumes, the youngsters took to the stage for a dress rehearsal after learning their lines, songs and cues.
This year marks the first time the whole pre-preparatory department have worked together to create one nativity show, with the nursery classes playing animals and reception classes playing shepherds.
Karen Mercer, Year 2 teacher, said: “The way the nativity is told this year through the musical 'It takes a village to raise a child' reflects the way in which we've put the production together; it's taken the whole of Pre-Prep to make it the success it is.
“Every boy has worked extremely hard from nursery to Year 2, as has every member of the Pre-Prep staff, and our parents who with the help of Mrs Vos have created some wonderful costumes for the younger boys.
"Without the combined efforts of everyone at Pre-Prep, a performance like this just wouldn't have been possible.”
