A charity walk in memory of babies and children who have passed away - and children who have been bereaved - is set to take place in West Wycombe later this month.

The Snowdrop Walk event, which is organised by Saunderton-based charity Child Bereavement UK, will take place on Sunday February 14 at West Wycombe Park.

People will be able to buy and plant individual snowdrops to remember loved ones and there will also be a book of remembrance to sign.

Alan Titchmarsh, Patron of Child Bereavement UK, said: "Please support Child Bereavement UK’s Snowdrop Walk - it’s a lovely way to shake off the cobwebs at this time of year and enjoy the fresh air.

"By planting a snowdrop in memory of a loved one, you will be helping Child Bereavement UK support bereaved families and children, helping them to rebuild their lives after the devastation of child bereavement."

The charity trains professionals such as teachers and nurses, helping them better understand and meet the needs of grieving families.

The walk, which is sponsored by Citygate, begins at 11am with last entries at 3pm. Entry is £2.50 for adults and £1.50 for children (under threes go free).
