Sir Terry Wogan was a key driving force behind a Marlow campaign in the early 90’s to restore the spire of a landmark church.
The broadcaster helped All Saints raise £65,000 after a friend and parishioner told him of the churches struggle to raise the money to fund the much need repair work.
Sir Terry agreed to be the face of the fundraising campaign and encouraged people to donate - ultimately leading to the complete restoration of the spire in 1991.
