The environment agency has issued a flood alert for a part of the River Thames in South Bucks.
The EA issued the alert this afternoon which states that the area of the river running from Hurley to Cookham, including Harleyford, Bisham, Marlow and Bourne End is at risk.
However there is no risk to residential areas in Marlow Town that have previously been affected; including Lock Island, Gossmore, Meadow Close, Pike Close, Pound Lane and Garnet Court areas.
Flooding to properties is not expected although river levels are expected to rise over the next couple of days causing flooding to low lying roads and land adjacent to the river in some locations.
The latest forecast predicts showers to continue throughout this evening.
The warning states that flooding is possible and residents should “be prepared”.
