Children at a Marlow primary school raised over £300 for a charity inspired by a fellow pupil in aid of world book day last week.

Teachers and pupils at Burford Primary School in Marlow Bottom dressed up as their favourite superheroes to raise money for the charity Spica Warrior on Friday, March 4.

The charity was launched last year by Marlow author Natalie Trice after her 6-year-old son, Lucas, was diagnosed with Developmental Dysplasia of the Hip (DDH) – a congenital condition that affects the hip joint and reduces mobility.

Mrs Trice also spoke to the school about her book - ‘Cast Life – A Parent’s Guide to DDH’ – which she wrote after realising there was little information for parents about the condition.
