A crackdown on speeding this week will see police clamping down on speeding drivers with random checks throughout the day and night.
Thames Valley Police will carry out the checks throughout the force area and drivers who are caught speeding will be issued with anything from a Fixed Penalty Notice to a summons to attend court.
TVP is joining all other police forces across Europe for the week-long European Traffic Police Network campaign, which started today (Monday, April 18) and will finish on Sunday, April 24.
Sgt Chris Appleby, from the Joint Roads Policing Unit, said: "Excessive or inappropriate speed has a devastating impact on the safety of road users, increasing both the risk of a crash and the severity of the consequences."
