A top south Bucks politician has urged residents to attend one of three European Union debates in June just days before the referendum.

Tory MP for Wycombe, Steve Baker, recently announced the dates of the debates, organised by Wycombe Vote Leave, on Twitter as well as tweeting his support for Brexit.

Taking place at The Village Hall Church Path in Lane End on June 10, All Saints Church in High Wycombe on June 17 and Hazlemere Community Centre in Hazlemere on June 18, the debates will allow residents to hear speakers from both sides of the debate argue why they should vote to stay or leave the EU.

Bucks Free Press reported last month the Vote Leave campaign had received more than 1,300 votes and Mr Baker said he thought it was “remarkable” that so many people had signed up.

The events will start at 7:30pm in High Wycombe and Lane End, and 10:30am in Hazlemere.
