Stars from the world of rugby and athletics stopped off at Bisham Abbey last week as part of 1,018 mile charity cycle challenge from John O'Groats to Lands End.
Marlow Olympic gold medal-winning rower Greg Searle and ex-international rugby players Will Carling, Roger Uttley, Peter Winterbottom and Rodger Arneil made a pit stop in south Bucks on their 114-mile leg from Stratford upon Avon to Twickenham on Thursday.
The ride was led by Ali Robertson, father of four-year-old Felix, who was diagnosed with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy (DMD), the same life-limiting condition as Chalfont St Peter schoolboy Archie Hill.
Mr Robertson said: “We are grateful for and humbled by the incredible support we’ve received so far and we hope to raise as much awareness and money as we can, so that we can really take the fight to this horrible disease.”
The team hope to raise £250,000 to fund vital research in to the development of treatments for DMD.
