Comedian Funmbi Omotayo is coming to Norden Farm this week to share the story of his life in his show, Legal Immigrant.

He tells how his parents uprooting him from London to Lagos in Nigeria where the other children laughed at his accent and he mourned being able to watch football and follow the action on Neighbours.

Six years later Funmbi returns to Hackney and finds he has to adjust all over again.

Funmbi has been seen on BBC1’s John Bishop Show and ITV2’s I’m a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here Now. He is currently working on a pilot for BBC3. After the success of Legal Immigrant at last year’s Edinburgh Fringe Festival, Funmbi has taken Legal Immigrant on a tour of the UK, his first ever. He has recently had sold out shows at London’s Soho Theatre.
