Dozens of people lined the streets of High Wycombe town centre to watch the new mayor be officially weighed-in as part of a town tradition going back centuries.
Councillor Zia Ahmed was joined by other politicians and dignitaries for the annual ceremony in Frogmoor yesterday.
The main attraction of the ‘weigh-in’ was witnessed by a crowd of people who had slowly been gathering in the town over the course of the morning.
