A home care manager from Bucks has won a coveted national award for a “high level of expertise” in her role.

Sarah Bull, 31, from Princes Risborough, was awarded the best Registered Home Care Manager accolade at the Great British Care awards last Friday (May 20).

According to award organisers, Ms Bull, who works at Buckinghamshire Care, “demonstrated a high level of expertise and has shown vision in developing viable quality services and supporting staff to meet the ever-changing needs of service users”.

She said: “I’m absolutely delighted to have won this award.

“I’m lucky enough to work with a fantastic team, which makes my job so enjoyable. This really is a team effort and everyone should be very proud.”

Buckinghamshire Care supports people across Bucks in their home and in the community through opportunity centres and supported employment schemes.

Ms Bull is responsible for managing the home care service, which enables people to remain independent in their own homes, helping them with everyday tasks, and leads a team of support staff across the county.

She added: “I feel very privileged to be able to lead my team so that we are able to provide such high-quality care to people in their own homes.”

Managing director Martin Farrow said: “I couldn’t be more thrilled for Sarah.

“She consistently sets high standards and shows exceptional commitment to her role, her team and the people we support. She continues to develop the services we offer with the involvement of our clients and their families.

“When you have a great team of people you really can achieve great things.”
