A music star has joined the campaign to find a dog who went missing in Amersham last week.

Kiwi, a seven-year-old Jack Russell, escaped – along with another dog – from a house in Old Amersham at around 11:30am on Monday May 16.

The other dog, a Dalmatian, was returned to Amersham Town Council at around 2.30pm but Kiwi, who has not been seen since, was not with her.

McFly drummer Harry Judd, who has over 860,000 followers, pledged his support to try and find the canine by tweeting: “One of my good mates Benny has had his Jack Russel Kiwi stolen from Old Amersham on 16th May £500 reward Please RT.”

Owner Ben Branson, who suspects the dog may have been stolen, said: “I’ve had Kiwi since I could fit her in my flat cap, my first dog so means the world to me.

“We’re desperate to do whatever we can to get Kiwi home as it has now been over a week since she went missing.

Bucks Free Press:

“She is black and white and has a large black spot on her right side as well as a black and white tail. She has also been spayed and microchipped.

“We are all over local Facebook groups and have had 1000 shares. We’re on DogLost, have informed all local vets, are working with the police and have posters up all across the county.”

Police confirmed they are aware of the missing dog and say it has been reported as “possibly stolen”.
