The people behind the annual music extravaganza of Frogfest say it is getting better and better, celebrating the success of this year’s fun-filled event following a move across the town from Frogmoor to High Street.

From fire twirling, to circus skills, puppet shows and a variety of musical performances, festival-goes were not left disappointed by this year’s event which boasted something for all the family.

The day-long festival kept people in the town busy throughout most of Sunday, with one of the organisers now hailing it a great success.

HWBIDCo chief executive, Oliver O’Dell, said: “For Frogfest 2016 we took the opportunity to move the event to the High Street in order to take advantage of the bigger space and better infrastructure for the stages and stallholders.

“We felt that there was a larger, more diverse, audience than last year with many more families and a notable presence of many younger wheelchair users who loved the music.

“The weather was great which always helps to encourage people to stay longer than they might otherwise do.”

An array of musical talents were on display throughout the festival, with one highlight of the day coming as group Hunky Dory paid homage to David Bowie in front of the crowds.

High Wycombe mayor, cllr Zia Ahmed, was also on hand to join in with the festival fun, congratulating the organisers for bringing the town together.

He said: “It was a brilliant day. I was there for a few hours and it was great to see so many people join together and have fun.

“The weather was a really good bonus too and it would be great if we can continue this sort of thing again in the future.”
