UPDATE: Suspected illegal immigrants are teenagers from Afghanistan, Home Office confirms.

Three migrants were discovered on the roof of a lorry in Beaconsfield services this morning, authorities have confirmed.

Firefighters were called out to the service station at 10:04am to rescue the men from the roof after they managed to get out from their hiding place inside.

Pete Skinner at Beaconsfield Fire Station told the BFP the men managed to get onto the roof from inside the lorry but were then unable to get down, prompting a call to the police and fire services.

A fire engine and crew from Beaconsfield helped get the men down.

Who they are or where they are from is not yet known.

Spokesman Jack Abell from Thames Valley Police confirmed the three men were taken into custody and are now being "dealt with" by immigration services.
