A 17-year-old boy was attacked by thugs wielding a baseball bat and knife in High Wycombe last week.

The boy was approached by three men at The Rye in London Road just after 2:30pm on Friday, July 8, who attacked him before snatching his belt and rucksack.

One of the attackers was carrying a baseball bat and another had a knife. There was a fight between the boy and the offenders and the boy sustained minor injuries to his face as a result, police have confirmed.

Two of the offenders are believed to be black and one Asian. They have been described as wearing dark clothing.

Investigating officer, det con Maddy Wright of High Wycombe Force CID, said: “This was a very serious and upsetting incident for the victim and we are appealing for any information that could help us trace these men.

"The victim has been left extremely upset by this incident but I am hoping the public will come forward to help our investigation."

The boy was taken to the minor injury and illness unit at Wycombe Hospital but has since been discharged.
