Keen runners will be blasted with coloured powder while clambering over climbing frames, tackling tunnels and crawling under camo nets in aid of charity.

Rennie Grove Hospice Care – which offers palliative and end-of-life care to people with life-limiting illnesses – is launching Colour Blast: The Scramble in a bid to raise money.

The charity provides a free service for patients and relies heavily on public support to fund 84 per cent of its £7.2 million budget.

The main feature of the day will be a 5km obstacle course where runners will overcome challenges like climbing over fences, diving through tunnels and wriggling under nets, all whilst being peppered with brightly coloured powders.

Origin Global, a High Wycombe manufacturing company, is the main sponsor of this year’s event after previously sponsoring Rennie Grove’s Muddy Mucker run last year and entering a team of 59 people.

Origin’s Sales and Marketing Director, Ben Brocklebsy is looking forward to the event and said: “The Muddy Mucker was such an inspiring event for the Origin family to be involved in, everyone had an amazing time and we can’t wait to participate again this year.”

Ben will be embracing the new challenge of the obstacle course following Origin’s impressive display last year and hopes they can smash the total they raised last year for the cause,

He added: “This will no doubt be one of the toughest, yet exhilarating obstacles the team will face, but knowing the money we raise will be used to improve the lives of families dealing with cancer and other life-limiting illnesses, makes it all worthwhile. “

Colour Blast: The Scramble will be held on September 25 at the Penn House Estate in Amersham.
