A special guest surprised a class of young school pupils last week as they said their goodbyes ahead of moving to their new junior school.
Disney icon Mickey Mouse joined the celebrations at Denham Village Infant School, wishing year two children a fond farewell as they move onto their schools in September.
The party started with a special assembly where the pupils were presented with individual certificates and dictionaries and continued with an outdoor disco followed by a barbeque and refreshments for all families.
Reflecting on her child’s first year at school, parent Joanne Kerby said: “Such a wonderful school. Our children love it. Monday mornings are never a problem. The teachers, PTA and pupils are all brilliant, so caring and supportive of one another.”
Parent, Tania Gibson said, “What a great party. Denham Village Infants sure know how to entertain the children and keep smiles on all their faces. What a fantastic school.”
The party was organised by the PTA and School Governors, following a parent-led fundraiser.
