A 38-year-old man has been convicted of sexual activity with a child in High Wycombe.

Paul Brian Hughes of Mazarron, Spain, pleaded guilty at Aylesbury Crown Court on Tuesday to five counts of sexual activity with a child and one count of causing or inciting a child to engage in sexual activity.

Thames Valley Police today said the offences occurred between May 1 2008 and March 30 2009, and relate to one girl.

Investigating officer Det Con Becky Tyler, from High Wycombe Force CID, said: “This conviction sends out the message that Thames Valley Police will work tirelessly and make every effort to ensure those who commit sexual offences are brought before the courts to face justice.

“Thames Valley Police takes all reports of sexual offences seriously and works to provide appropriate support to victims.
