Choosing your baby’s name is a big decision – do you go for something traditional, retro or celebrity (think Apple, Sparrow and Tiger-Lily)?

A list of the top baby names of 2016 so far, released by a parenting advice site, might help you decide.

It even includes the top boy and girl's names in High Wycombe,

Bounty asked around 100,000 visitors to its site for their favourite baby names – and the results might surprise you.

Jack is the most sought after name in High Wycombe for a boy and Amelia is the most popular girl’s name in the town.

The results were gathered from Bounty’s online community, with the most viewed and researched names topping the list, which comprises a mix of classic and modern monikers.

Holding onto their 2015 top spots, Alfie and Isla remain the most popular names for boys and girls.

Girls’ names falling out of favour include Sienna, Mia, Sophia, Mila and Scarlett, and boys’ names on the decline include Dylan, Sebastian, Daniel and Harrison.

Male names ending in soft-sounding letters are on-trend according to the site, with names like Harry, Alfie and Archie on the rise. Vowel-heavy female names also topped the list.

The biggest surprise of the list was Arlo which jumped up 55 places from last year to reach number 6 on the top 100 list.
