A new £250,000 car park will be officially opened at a popular Prestwood leisure centre this weekend.
The new car park at Sprinters Leisure Centre in Honor End Lane will be opened on the same day as the fun-filled Prestwood village games gets underway.
The parking site will provide the centre and associated clubs with improved lighting, better drainage and safer access.
Leisure company GLL Better also made a £30,000 contribution towards the work.
Chiltern District Council chairman cllr Mimi Harker OBE will formally open the new site on August 27, along with Chiltern District Council leader cllr Isobel Darby and community, health and housing cabinet member cllr Graham Harris.
Following the opening, a day full of family activities will get underway including a tug-of-war, welly throwing, team ski walks, foam javelin and penalty shootout.
