A man was left needing “extensive treatment” after being attacked in Marlow by a knife-wielding thug.

The man was sitting in his car in the car park of Gossmore Recreation Ground in Gossmore Lane between 7.30pm and 8pm on Wednesday (August 24), when he was approached by a man who got out of a black 2007-plate Volkswagen Golf GTI.

Through the victim’s open window, the thug held a small knife to his throat and punched him twice in the head.

He then fled in the Golf.

The victim required hospital treatment but has since been discharged.

The attacker has been described as a black man, around 30 to 35-years-old, with muscular build and short hair, over 6ft 4ins tall and wearing a black T-shirt.

Investigating officer, PC Rob Allen, based at High Wycombe police station is asking anyone who might have seen a black 2007-plate VW GTI Golf driving off on Gossmore Lane and right on to Lock Road, to contact police on 101.
