Chesham United’s unbeaten run came to a halt on Saturday as they suffered a 2-1 defeat to Kings Lynn Town in the Southern Premier division.

The Generals had previously gone seven games in all competitions without defeat before the loss which leaves them seventh in the league.

They will look to recover their form when they take on Hayes & Yeading on Tuesday night before facing Sevenoaks Town in the FA Cup on Saturday.

It was an equally frustrating Saturday for southern Division One Central side Chalfont St Peter as they suffered a 2-1 loss to Potters Bar Town.

All the goals were scored in a nine minute second half spell as Ash Nathaniel-George and Danny Hart gave the hosts a 2-0 lead before Craige Tomkins pulled one back.

Beaconsfield SYCOB slipped further down the same division after a 4-0 humbling at the hands of Farnborough leaves them 18th.

Marlow’s form has been far more impressive as they made it five games on the bounce without defeat with a 1-1 draw against Uxbridge.

It was the first time they have dropped points at home this season as the prolific Anaclet Odhiambo added another goal to his tally.

In the South Midland Premier League, Holmer Green came from behind to earn a 2-1 win against Colney Heath.

Dean Powles and Joe Collins got the goals in the second half for Green.

Risborough Rangers were knocked out of the FA Vase at the first hurdle on Saturday as they lost 3-0 to a hard-working Broadfields side.

Amersham Town were also comfortably beaten and crashed out of the competition after losing 2-0 against Highmoor-Ibis.

It was a more productive weekend for Penn & Tylers Green in the Berks & Bucks Intermediate Cup as they secured safe passage against Cookham Dean.

Adam Harman got both the goals for Penn as they claimed a 2-1 win in a match they could have won by a greater margin.
