The mum-of-one was driving her blue VW Beetle when she was involved in a crash with a silver Honda Accord and a silver VW Sharan on the southbound carriageway at about 1.30pm on Monday.
Despite a desperate battle to save her life, Janice sadly died of her injuries, while her daughter, who was also in the car, miraculously survived and walked away with just minor injuries.
Investigating officer, PC Sandra Terry of the Serious Collision Investigation Unit, said “I want to hear from anyone who witnessed the collision or anyone who has any information about the collision, even if you think it be insignificant, to come forward.
“The easiest way to contact us is by calling 101 and quoting reference 768 (12/9), or you can visit your nearest police station.”
