Police have released CCTV images after a “deliberate attempt” to deflate the tyres of a police car in High Wycombe.

Two men walked down a service road next to High Wycombe police station on Queen Victoria Road and picked up two planks of wood with nails embedded into them, at around 7.15pm on Sunday, September 4.

They then placed the planks of wood on the ground outside the police vehicle gate with the nails facing upwards.

The men, who were with a larger group of around 15 people, then ran off onto Queen Victoria Road.

Thames Valley Police is releasing CCTV images of two men officers would like to speak to in connection with the incident.

Investigating officer PC Leigh Andrews based at High Wycombe police station said: “This appears to be a deliberate attempt to try and deflate the tyres of a police car exiting the station which could have caused serious damage or injury.

“We would like to speak to the two men in these images as we believe that they may have vital information that could assist us with our investigation.”
