Alleyway thieves threatened a man with a knife as he walked through High Wycombe in the middle of the day, in the latest attack to hit the town.

Detectives are searching for two men after a 39-year-old was targeted as he walked along an alleyway between Lincoln Road and Deeds Grove at about 1.50pm yesterday.

He was approached by two men, who threatened him with a knife and stole an undisclosed amount of cash after demanding he hand money over.

The thieves then ran off down the alleyway towards Deeds Grove and turned left.

The attack came in the same week as a 30-year-old was left with a serious injuries after being stabbed and days after a double robbery in Birdcage Walk when victims were threatened with weapons, including a hammer.

The first offender is an Asian man, in his late twenties, of a slim build, between 5ft 9ins and 6ft tall and was clean shaven.

He spoke with a Birmingham accent. He was wearing a black hooded top with the hood pulled over his head, blue jeans and white trainers.

The second offender is a black man with short black hair, between 5ft 9ins and 6ft tall and clean shaven. He spoke with a Birmingham accent. He was wearing black jeans and black trainers.

Investigating officer PC Rosie Campbell of Local CID based at High Wycombe police station said: "I would like to hear from anyone who witnessed the incident or recognises the descriptions.

“If you have any information please contact me via the Thames Valley Police Enquiry Centre on 101.
