Plans for an extended multi-storey car park in Gerrards Cross, which could see the existing Station Road car park increase by 328 spaces, will be submitted in November.

The plans propose to extend the car park to 4.5 floors with an added lift, three electric car charging points, secure spots for motorbikes, bicycle racks, disabled spaces and trolley bays.

It comes after South Bucks District Council carried out a capacity study last year which bosses say identified a need for increased car parking facilities in the town.

Poeple will be able to give their feedback at an exhibition which will take place at Gerrards Cross Memorial Centre on Monday (October 31) between 3pm and 8pm.

South Bucks District cllr Trevor Egleton, portfolio holder for resources, says: “We’ve long been told that relieving on-street parking is a priority for those living and working in Gerrards Cross and residents and local businesses have been the main driver for the project.

“I encourage everyone who lives and visits Gerrards Cross, to come along to the exhibition.”

The planning application will be submitted to the council’s planning department and if given the green light, building works could start next spring.
