A police hunt is underway after a man was stabbed in High Wycombe in the early hours of yesterday morning (Saturday).

At around 1.20am, two men were having an argument in Hicks Farm Rise. According to police reports, the attacker then turned into St Hughes Avenue followed by the victim.

The attacker then stabbed the victim, who went back to Hicks Farm Rise and was taken to hospital by a friend. His injuries are not believed to be life threatening.

Police said they do not believe there is a “wider risk” to the public, but there will be increased patrols in the area while an investigation is ongoing.

The attacker has been described as a mixed race male, aged between late teens to early twenties, around 5ft 8ins, with a slim but muscled build and dark hair which is short on the side.

He was not believed to be wearing a top but was said to be wearing jeans.
