Marlow’s own celebrity chef, Tom Kerridge, has revealed more details about his exciting plans for a new festival in the town next year.

Last month, the Marlow Free Press announced that Tom and his friend, Chris Hughes, from event planning company Brand Events, had plans for a “gastro-music” event embracing the best of the county’s home-grown food, drink and music.

Now, more details have emerged about the “laidback summer celebration”, which will be called Pub in the Park and feature chef demonstrations, a pop-up champagne bar, shopping village, craft beer and artisan food and drink producers.

The festival is set to run from May 19 to 21 in Higginson Park and will feature gourmet food as well as “cracking music and lush vibes.”

The chef will be hosting two special pop-up versions of his Marlow pubs, The Hand & Flowers and The Coach, giving revellers a chance to sample their signature dishes.

Tom is also handpicking a selection of leading chef friends from the area who will be lending a hand to create a summer menu.

After a day of food tasting, a riverside stage is set to feature “award-winning British headline acts.”

Tickets are expected to go on sale soon – visit www.pubintheparkuk.com for more information.
