Excited south Bucks residents took to social media after some areas were hit with snow yesterday, while others appeared to be disappointed by the lack of wintry showers.
Throughout the week forecasters have issued warnings about icy conditions along with yellow warnings of snow - with up to four cm predicted on low ground on Thursday evening.
Following yesterday's snowfall, which led to icy rush hour conditions, thoughtful Bucks residents have taken to Twitter, advising people to “stay safe” on the county’s roads.

However others have expressed disappointment in the lack of snow, with one Tweeter saying: “High Wycombe has only been lightly dusted with snow, can’t decide whether I am disappointed or relieved.”

Despite some disappointment, the wintry showers appear to have provided idea photo opportunities - with one Twitter user photographing including RAF High Wycombe’s Spitfire covered in layers of snow.

The excitement looks set to continue before the weather turns, with snowfall continuing across the county for the second day running.
A yellow warning for ice remains in place for the county until midnight today, with ice expected to form on untreated surfaces, according to Met Office reports.

Some schools have event been forced to changed their timetabled hours, or even close, due to "unsafe and icy" roads.
