A “devastated” mum has sent out an emotional plea to her 16-year-old daughter who went missing from High Wycombe this week.

The Wycombe Grange school pupil, Morgan Williams, was last seen in her hometown at around 11.40am on Monday when she left to visit a friend in Elephant and Castle, according to her mum, Tania Findlay.

The last contact Mrs Findlay had with her daughter, who turned 16 in December, was on Tuesday evening, when Morgan sent a Facebook message explaining that she had stayed at a friends as she had been robbed on her way home.

The distraught mum believes Morgan is in the north London area, and has urged the teen to make contact saying “we love her and are so very worried".

She said: “I was absolutely devastated when she hadn't come home. She wasn't in trouble, we hadn't had a row, and there was no reason for her not to come home, there still isn't.

"I just want her to know that we love her and are so very worried. She isn't in any trouble; she just needs to come home so we know she's safe.”

Morgan is black, 5 ft 2ins, of slim build, has dark brown long curly hair and has freckles on her cheeks.

She was last seen wearing a black tracksuit, a Nike jumper, was possibly wearing black trainers and was carrying a cream-coloured holdall.

She lives on Grange Road, High Wycombe, but was last seen in Dalston, north London, at around 1.45pm yesterday (January 12), according to Mrs Findlay,

Mrs Findlay continued: “Morgan left Wycombe on Monday mid-morning to go and meet a friend at Elephant and Castle on Monday. She was on the way home when she last physically spoke to me and that was Monday at 6pm and was on the 453 bus from Elephant and Castle to Marylebone.

“The last contact we had was Tuesday night when she sent a message via Facebook saying she was alright but had spent the night before at a friend's as she had been robbed on the way home.”

Thames Valley Police has issued an appeal for information on Morgan's disappearance.

Leading the search, sgt Hayley McEvoy, said: "I would like to hear from anyone who has any information about Morgan's whereabouts as we are understandably concerned for her due to her age and the length of time she has been missing.

"If anyone recognises someone fitting Morgan's description, please come forward and speak to officers.

"Morgan, if you see this appeal, you are not in any trouble however please call the police so we can check you are ok."

Anyone who knows anything in relation to Morgan's whereabouts is asked to contact TVP on 101.
