The pilot of a light aircraft has died after his plane crashed in a nature reserve near the M40.
Emergency services were called to Aston Rowant Nature Reserve, a popular dog-walking spot near Stokenchurch, at 2.35pm yesterday after receiving reports of a plane crash.
A man was sadly pronounced dead at the scene.
It is thought that the aircraft had taken off from Turweston Aerodrome.
Police helicopter unit NPAS Benson said it sent a helicopter to the scene of the crash, but low cloud prevented crews from landing.
An investigation into the incident is now set to take place, with the UK Air Accidents Investigation Branch sending a team to the site.
