A 22-year-old man from Chalfont St Giles has been convicted of drink-driving after crashing a car into a barn in Seer Green.
Samuel Holmes, of Three Households, drove his Mercedes into a barn in Newbarn Lane in the early hours of Tuesday, December 27.
He was more than twice the legal drink-drive limit – his breathalyser reading showed 86 microgrammes of alcohol in 100ml of breath and the legal limit is 35 microgrammes in 100ml.
He was charged on the same day and pleaded guilty to driving a motor vehicle when alcohol level was above the limit at Wycombe Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday, January 11.
Holmes was disqualified from driving for 20 months and ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £46. He was fined £461 and ordered to pay costs of £85.
