Police are continuing to investigate following a vicious town centre attack which left a man with a broken jaw in High Wycombe in January.

On January 28 the 21-year-old victim was assaulted by a man – who was with two men – in Pauls Row near Metro bank at around 2.20am.

The victim's jaw was broken and he was treated in hospital.

Police subsequently issued an appeal including CCTV images of a man they wanted to talk to in connection with the investigation.

TVP has announced the man in the images has now been identified and it will no longer be issuing the pictures.

Investigating officer PC Daniel Morris, of Wycombe Police Station, urged anyone with any information about the assault to contact him on 101.

He said: “I would appeal to anyone who knows anything about the incident and has not yet come forward to contact us on 101.

"The victim sustained a very serious injury following this assault."
