Burger King will soon see its name in lights after an application was submitted construct signs for the fast food restaurant in High Wycombe town centre.

This month the Eden Centre confirmed a Burger King will open in Eden Place at the site of the recently closed Villagio Ristorante.

A sign on the building suggests the fast food joint will open in March this year and this week plans were submitted to Wycombe District Council to erect four signs on the building.

The announcement came as good news to Wycombe residents, with 84 per cent of 1,763 of Bucks Free Press readers voting in favour of the restaurant in an online poll.

Centre director at the Eden, Andrew Norton, said: “I can confirm that Burger King will be opening in the former Villagio Ristorante here at Eden Shopping Centre.

“We’re delighted to welcome the burger chain, especially as so many residents of High Wycombe have been calling for one for so long.

“Our food offer is going from strength to strength as Burger King join Pizza Express, Nando’s, Zizzi, Wagammama, Bill’s, YO! Sushie, Frankie & Benny’s, Starbucks and Patisserie Valerie. We really do have something for all tastes.”
