Firefighters have been called to rescue a pigeon from a chimney again after the bird had been stuck inside for two days.
It is the second time the emergency services have been called out to save a stranded pigeon in as many weeks.
On this occasion, in Meadow Drive, Amersham – a short distance from the last incident in Coleshill – crews used chimney gear and a 10.5-metre ladder to free the bird after receiving a 999 call at 3.52pm yesterday.
Last time, the RSPCA phoned for help after a pigeon became stuck on a ledge “inches away” from a hot stove pipe for three days.
And, earlier this month, firefighters had to help free a small black cat which got stuck on top of a chimney for two days at a house in Wooburn Moor.
