James Corden sparked a social media frenzy across south Bucks last night, tweeting a reference to his hometown of High Wycombe.

The star – now considered one of the biggest names in the world – tweeted a picture alongside American stars Ice Cube and LeBron James saying: β€œHanging with these two today. I'm from High Wycombe.”

It was retweeted more than 3,400 times and liked by more than 18,000 people.

James grew up in Hazlemere and went to Park Middle School and Holmer Green Upper School as well as Jackie Palmer Stage School in Bridge Street.

He has since gone on to be a global celebrity and continues to make a name for himself in America hosting The Late Late Show.

Alongside Little Mix star Leigh-Anne Pinnock, James is considered to be one of the biggest names to come from High Wycombe, with hundreds of people tweeting his latest message about the town.

He later retweeted John Bond’s message of β€œStraight Outta Hazlemere”.
