A series of aerial shots show piles of rubbish left at a traveller campsite in High Wycombe just one week after the group moved in.

On Tuesday last week travellers set up camp on the building site where the former Wycombe Sports Centre, off Marlow Hill, used to stand.

The group were issued with an eviction notice at the Wycombe District Council owned land ordering them to leave by Thursday morning, however residents say they are still on site today.

Pictures taken by a Wycombe resident show a relatively clear site 24-hours after the travellers moved in however images taken on Saturday (April 15) depict mountains of waste in the area.

Around six caravans have also been spotted at the site of the old park and ride, in Cressex Road, according to eyewitnesses.

Last August travellers caused a stir in High Wycombe after around 15 to 20 caravans moved into Totteridge Lane for a week, leaving behind human faeces and rubbish.

And in 2015 Marlow Town Council were forced to spend £900 of taxpayer’s money on a clean-up operation when travellers left a "trail of destruction" on Seymour Court Recreation Ground.
