A body has been found at a popular High Wycombe park this morning. 

Eyewitnesses reported seeing police officers, paramedics and the fire brigade at The Dyke, in The Rye, early this morning. 

It has now been confirmed that a body was found at 7.09am after police received a call from a member of the public.

Officers and other emergency services attended the location and the body of a man was recovered from the water.

Bucks Fire and Rescue provided assistance to South Central Ambulance and Thames Valley Police after being called at 7.12am today.

Firefighters from High Wycombe, and the Water Rescue Unit from Beaconsfield recovered the body from the water.

The body has now been removed from the scene in a silver van and a police cordon has been taken down, with police leaving the scene at around 11.30am.

Officers are still working hard to identify the body and investigations are ongoing. 

At this stage the death is not believed to be suspicious.
