An investigation is underway following a hit-and-run in Chesham on Tuesday which left a 53-year-old with serious injuries.

Police are appealing for information after a pedestrian was struck by a navy blue van while crossing Ashley Green Road, near the Bellcote pub, at around 8.40am on April 25.

The driver, who is described as an Asian male aged between 20 and 30-years-old and of stocky build, failed to stop at the scene after the crash, police say.

The victim is still being treated at Stoke Mandeville hospital.

Police would like to speak to anyone who may have witnessed the incident, or has dash cam or CCTV footage which may identify the vehicle and driver.
