A man has died after he was hit by a Chiltern Railways train near Beaconsfield Railway Station during the commuter rush hour yesterday.
Emergency services were called to the scene around 3.50pm, and it has now been confirmed that the collision was fatal, with a man sadly being pronounced dead at the scene.
Officers are now working to identify the man and inform his family.
This incident is not being treated as suspicious and a file will be prepared for the coroner, British Transport Police say.
The line was reopened by Chiltern Railways around an hour after the incident, with bosses warning of significant delays and cancellations.
There were delays of more than an hour between Gerrards Cross and High Wycombe.
