Two young children were attacked in Hazlemere at the weekend.

The victims, a boy aged eight and a girl aged four, were playing close to a property in Ashtree Walk at about 6pm on Saturday (April 29), when they were approached by two teenage boys who told them if they did not come with them, they would be hurt.

The teenagers then took the young children about 30 metres to a nearby alley, close to Firs Walk, before pushing them into some stinging nettles.

They then left in the direction of Rose Avenue.

Police said thankfully neither of the children were hurt and they do not believe it was a case of child abduction.

The first attacker has been described as a teenage boy with light skin and short brown hair. He was reported to be wearing a ‘Minions’ t-shirt, a grey bomber jacket and a silver necklace with a cross on it. He is said to be about 5ft 4ins tall.

The second attacker has been described as a white teenage boy with brown hair and about 5ft 4ins tall. He was said to be wearing a navy blue t-shirt.

Investigating officer, PC Jessica Martin, based at High Wycombe police station, said: “Neither of the two children were injured as a result of this incident, but understandably they are both very upset and distraught.

“I would like to reassure the public that we do not believe this to be a child abduction incident. However, clearly the offenders have been cruel to two younger children, and have caused them a great deal of distress.”

Anyone with information is being urged to call police on 101.
