Flowers and tributes have been left at the scene of fatal crash that has shocked residents in Bourne End.

Emergency services rushed to The Parade on Wednesday evening after receiving calls at 5.05pm saying there had been a crash involving a lorry and pedestrian.

Sadly, the female pedestrian, who was 69-years-old, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police now say they want to speak to the occupants of a silver Nissan Pathfinder and a black Honda Civic, which were both in the location at the time of the crash and may be witnesses.

A number of witnesses have already come forward and the investigation is still in the early stages.

The woman’s identity has not yet been revealed as officers confirmed they are still awaiting formal identification, although her next of kin have been informed.

Station Road and The Parade were closed for a number of hours and members of the public were being asked to avoid the area while emergency services were on the scene.

A sea of flowers and tributes have now been left at the scene of the tragic crash in memory of the woman.
