Bucks County Council has appointed a new chairman and announced its cabinet for the next year.

Cllr Patricia Birchley has been elected as chairman and Cllr Netta Glover will support her as vice-chairman for the year 2017 to 2018.

Cllr Martin Tett has retained his position as leader of the council following a unanimous vote from councillors and he proceeded to announce his cabinet.

Cllr Mark Shaw has been appointed as deputy leader and he remains the cabinet member for Transport.

Cllr Mike Appleyard is the cabinet member for Education, Cllr Warren Whyte for Children’s Services and Lin Hazell for Health and Wellbeing.

Cllr Bill Chapple holds the Planning and Environment portfolio, Cllr Noel Brown is the cabinet member for Community Engagement and Cllr John Chilver for Resources.
