Free cancer advice and support sessions will be available in High Wycombe town centre next week.
The Macmillan team will come to the High Street on Wednesday, May 31 where cancer information specialists will be on hand to answer questions and provide information.
The team will also provide specialist advice and information about sun safety and skin cancer, however they will not be able to perform skin checks.
Anyone with worries relating to cancer is encouraged to stop by, whether they are living with cancer or caring for someone who is.
Jane Douglass, a Macmillan Information and Support Specialist on the unit, said: “Skin cancer, if caught early, is very treatable and actually has one of the highest survival rates of all cancers.
“Being sun aware is key. Our advice is to avoid sun beds, wear a high SPF sun screen with a four-star rating or more so it will block out UVA as well as UVB rays, and cover up in the sun.”
