A woman has been hospitalised following a house fire in High Wycombe this afternoon.

Around 30 firefighters from High Wycombe, Gerrards Cross, Beaconsfield Berkshire and Oxfordshire were called to a fire in a mid-terrace house in Booker Place at 4.17pm.

The two-storey house was severely damaged by fire and a woman had to be taken to hospital suffering from burns.

The first floors of the two houses on either side were also damaged by fire and smoke.

Firefighters used two main jets, two hose reels, six sets of breathing apparatus, a turntable ladder and a drone to deal with the fire.
