A 19-year-old man has been taken to hospital after being attacked in Burnham at the weekend.

The man was walking in Almond Road at around 10pm on Saturday (June 3), when he was approached from behind by unknown males.

He was then attacked by an “unidentified” item, which caused a stab wound to his thigh. He required medical treatment and is still in hospital, police have confirmed.

The thugs then left on foot in the direction of Wyndham Crescent.

They have been described as two or three men who were wearing dark clothing.

Investigating officer Detective Constable Luke Pratt, from Aylesbury Force CID, said: “We have launched an investigation and we are determined to identify those responsible.”
